When Baldomiro Gai came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Cululú fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baldomiro Gai couldn't finish the play. Nueva Alianza ᶠᶜ's Isidro Herrera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vinicio Gizon in the 10th minute of play. After some careless play in the Nueva Alianza ᶠᶜ defense, Baldomiro Gai kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Isidro Herrera. The Nueva Alianza ᶠᶜ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Isidro Herrera should have stopped the shot. In the 20th minute Teo Salamon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gervasio Sedeni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Nueva Alianza ᶠᶜ booed when Cululú was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erubiel Nuñez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Cristo Etxekopar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nueva Alianza ᶠᶜ's goalkeeper Isidro Herrera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a left leg Isidro Herrera saved Nueva Alianza ᶠᶜ from getting behind. Nueva Alianza ᶠᶜ's Isidro Herrera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Placido Remigio in the 38th minute of play. After 40 played minutes Nueva Alianza ᶠᶜ got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Oinatz. Baldomiro Gai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Baldomiro Gai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teo Salamon made a kick off. Isidro Herrera was a little too slow when Baldomiro Gai got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 0-2. Cululú's Gervasio Sedeni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teo Salamon in the 57th minute of play. If Baldomiro Gai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teo Salamon's late challenge caught a Cululú's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teo Salamon helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Cululú booed when Nueva Alianza ᶠᶜ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teo Salamon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nueva Alianza ᶠᶜ's Isidro Herrera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Nueva Alianza ᶠᶜ from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Cululú's zone, Cristo Etxekopar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gervasio Sedeni came out of the goal and Cristo Etxekopar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 89 minutes into the match, Cululú's goal looked a bit too open when Cosme Gonsalvo came free, but Gervasio Sedeni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Cululú's Placido Remigio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Isidro Herrera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. After having played for 94 minutes, Nemesio Hernandez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cululú's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nemesio Hernandez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cululú walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
