An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Cordearo in the 9th minute of play forced Yatai AFC's goalkeeper Camilo Ferdinand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the match, SANTO DOMINGO FC's goalkeeper Carolo Ekialde had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emanuel Ezkerra. A collision led to SANTO DOMINGO FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Nicolas Suarez hit a great ball. Carolo Ekialde made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Emanuel Ezkerra sent off a good shot on target. Carolo Ekialde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hernan Tauro in the 21st minute of the match. Emanuel Ezkerra came free with the goalkeeper in the 22nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Carolo Ekialde could save by the left post. When Alejandro Otsando fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yatai AFC's protests and gave Alejandro Otsando a yellow card for diving instead. Ciro Cordearo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Ferdinand having to interfere. Ciro Cordearo might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Camilo Ferdinand. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ciro Cordearo ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice moves Emanuel Ezkerra could shoot a difficult shot in the 35th minute, which Carolo Ekialde however easily saved by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fermin Hitz during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to SANTO DOMINGO FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Fermin Hitz hit a great ball. Yatai AFC's Camilo Ferdinand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Cordearo in the 38th minute of play. Carolo Ekialde made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emanuel Ezkerra in the 40th minute. The supporters of Yatai AFC booed when SANTO DOMINGO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fermin Hitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute, Andres Hegoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciro Cordearo couldn't finish the play. Carolo Ekialde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernan Tauro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carolo Ekialde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Ezkerra in the 69th minute of the match. Ciro Cordearo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th match minute, Yatai AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alejandro Otsando to maneuver through the defense. Andres Hegoi struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Camilo Ferdinand didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SANTO DOMINGO FC. The supporters of SANTO DOMINGO FC booed when Yatai AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narciso Eneas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carolo Ekialde didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Millan went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Yatai AFC had won after a very even match.
