Martin Hegoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teobaldo Dayam in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Norberto Guillerme notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Bolsón's Martin Hegoi. Martin Hegoi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bolsón's Martin Hegoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norberto Guillerme in the 23rd minute of play. Epifanio Galindo charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Epifanio Galindo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Martin Hegoi came out of the goal and Norberto Guillerme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Silverio Michaels short, quick shot in the 43rdth minute got Octavio Gergori to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Norberto Guillerme made the kick off in the second half. Martin Hegoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norberto Guillerme in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 54th minute of the match River Plate got a corner. Bolsón's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Teobaldo Dayam ran over to the corner to take the kick. Silverio Michael kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Bolsón defense, Arnulfo Bembe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Martin Hegoi. Octavio Gergori came out of the goal and Uriel Oriche tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 91st minute, Silverio Michael made a precise shot to the right of Octavio Gergori. River Plate's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. When the final whistle sounded River Plate left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Bolsón.
