The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes, Eldin Erazo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the General Roca and the Tonono players grew even worse after the yellow card. Horacio Pere placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! In the 9th minute of the match, Hilario Guilabertus tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alfredo Erroman saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 10 minutes into the match, General Roca's goal looked a bit too open when Andres Petrigai came free, but Elvio Firme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Amato in the 16th minute of play forced General Roca's goalkeeper Elvio Firme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elvio Firme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paolo Bartuelo in the 17th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Tonono's goalkeeper Alfredo Erroman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pitoy Martínez de Aldunate. Alfredo Erroman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pitoy Martínez de Aldunate in the 23rd minute. Alfredo Erroman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pitoy Martínez de Aldunate in the 44th minute. Elvio Firme didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cleto Henry went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind General Roca's goalkeeper Elvio Firme, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 57 minutes of play, Tonono's Andres Petrigai made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elvio Firme was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Cleto Henry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Amato's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elvio Firme read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. If Rene Orlondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Amato was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 74th minute. Tonono's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. With his leg Elvio Firme managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when Tonono's Cleto Henry fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Andres Petrigai kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. After having played for 81 minutes, Pitoy Martínez de Aldunate managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. General Roca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pitoy Martínez de Aldunate was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alfredo Erroman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rene Orlondo in the 82nd minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Rene Orlondo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Rene Orlondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Pitoy Martínez de Aldunate managed to get in a good position for a shot. General Roca's supporters rose to their feet, but Pitoy Martínez de Aldunate was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredo Erroman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rene Orlondo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cleto Henry hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Chants of Tonono echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as General Roca had held the ball for most of the match.
