The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Feliberto Sauveur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Jago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 3rd match minute, GIMNASIA LA PLATA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedicto Blanco to maneuver through the defense. 5 minutes into the match, GIMNASIA LA PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when Feliberto Sauveur came free, but Ismael Jago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Aaron Leoncio put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ismael Jago. Ismael Jago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Ignatius in the 15th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in La Mirage's zone, 苏青勇 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eleuterio Gabino came out of the goal and 苏青勇 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Feliberto Sauveur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 22 minutes into the match, GIMNASIA LA PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Leoncio came free, but Ismael Jago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Feliberto Sauveur fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Mirage's protests and gave Feliberto Sauveur a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, La Mirage's Feliberto Sauveur got a free kick in the 30th minute. Ismael Jago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Igon in the 33rd minute of play. Ismael Jago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremias Igon in the 36th minute of the match. When 苏青勇 came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the GIMNASIA LA PLATA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 苏青勇 couldn't finish the play. Fidel Bixintxo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Eleuterio Gabino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A nice corner shot did that Ulises Itzaina got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Eleuterio Gabino quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Benedicto Blanco kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when 苏青勇 made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeremias Igon got free with Ismael Jago in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in La Mirage's zone, Benedicto Blanco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eleuterio Gabino came out of the goal and Benedicto Blanco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The GIMNASIA LA PLATA fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when GIMNASIA LA PLATA's 苏青勇 looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaron Leoncio in the 66th minute of play forced GIMNASIA LA PLATA's goalkeeper Ismael Jago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ulises Itzaina during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ulises Itzaina hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Ismael Jago made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeremias Igon in the 71st minute. GIMNASIA LA PLATA's Ismael Jago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Ignatius in the 75th minute of play. La Mirage's Aaron Leoncio got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Reynaldo Ignatius's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ismael Jago was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. When Reynaldo Ignatius, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 82 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Ismael Jago was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. GIMNASIA LA PLATA's Ismael Jago proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save GIMNASIA LA PLATA from getting a goal against them. GIMNASIA LA PLATA's Ismael Jago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aaron Leoncio in the 92nd minute of play. La Mirage were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
