After 5 played minutes Benja y Mate got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Rodriguez. Diego Vega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Urtungo having to interfere. 11 minutes into the game, Benja y Mate's Tebaldo Celada nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mateo Lia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Benja y Mate's Mariano Urtungo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Candido Brais in the 20th minute of play. Mateo Lia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Perez in the 24th minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Oscar Perez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mateo Lia. Maravilla's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oscar Perez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Javier Sabio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Maravilla fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Benja y Mate a penalty, 30 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Leonardo Telmo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Maravilla's Mateo Lia. 0-3. In the 34th match minute, Benja y Mate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mazinho dos Santos to maneuver through the defense. Maravilla's Jacinto Mendebal got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 40 played minutes Benja y Mate got a freekick which was hit by Gaspar Ostadar. Diego Vega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Candido Brais could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Mariano Urtungo made a huge save. After the first half Benja y Mate were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

57 minutes into the match, Benja y Mate's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Vega came free, but Mariano Urtungo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mariano Urtungo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Candido Brais, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Vega in the 62nd minute of play forced Benja y Mate's goalkeeper Mariano Urtungo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mariano Urtungo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Vega, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. After a rather tough play, Benja y Mate's Gaspar Ostadar got a free kick in the 68th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Jacinto Mendebal in the 71st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Benja y Mate's Gaspar Ostadar. Benja y Mate's Oscar Perez got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 75 minutes, Jacinto Mendebal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maravilla and the Benja y Mate players grew even worse after the yellow card. Javier Sabio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the match, Benja y Mate's Tebaldo Celada sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mateo Lia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Diego Vega blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mariano Urtungo having to make a save. Mateo Lia didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 86th minute, which inside left pole to 0-6. After a rather tough play, Benja y Mate's Leonardo Rodriguez got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Benja y Mate were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Maravilla's much stronger midfield.
