The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Generoso Fernado in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roberto Bernat prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Piquense Futbol Club's Saturnino Sendoa got a free kick in the 4th minute. Generoso Fernado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Primates getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Aquiles Paio hit a great ball. Piquense Futbol Club's Roberto Bernat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Generoso Fernado in the 15th minute of play. Sylwester Tarasek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruben Gitano in the 18th minute of the match. After having played for 19 minutes, Generoso Fernado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Primates's supporters crossed their fingers, but Generoso Fernado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Primates getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Aquiles Paio hit a great ball. After 25 played minutes Primates got a freekick which was hit by Donato Bartoleme. If Benjamin Elizardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfonso Gasteiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Roberto Bernat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Primates's Generoso Fernado dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Piquense Futbol Club's zone, Alfonso Gasteiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roberto Bernat came out of the goal and Alfonso Gasteiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Generoso Fernado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roberto Bernat read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Piquense Futbol Club's goalkeeper Roberto Bernat, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Roberto Bernat made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Alfonso Gasteiz sent off a good shot on target. Ruben Gitano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benjamin Elizardo to make the kick off. Generoso Fernado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Roberto Bernat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Ruben Gitano made a precise shot to the right of Sylwester Tarasek. Primates's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Ruben Gitano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piquense Futbol Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Ruben Gitano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sylwester Tarasek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aquiles Paio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kevin Defaux kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Roberto Bernat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfonso Gasteiz in the 70th minute of the match. Sylwester Tarasek made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ruben Gitano in the 72nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Generoso Fernado in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roberto Bernat saved Piquense Futbol Club from getting behind.
