Fabricio Salomone blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emil Prusinowski having to make a save. Chilecito FC's Emil Prusinowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severino Nerio in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Nerio in the 33rd minute of play forced Chilecito FC's goalkeeper Emil Prusinowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 41 in the game by Carolo Luken from a close distance when the talented Augusto Casomiro managed to make a qualified save. Puerta de Hierro's players were relieved. Fabricio Salomone took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emil Prusinowski. Emil Prusinowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cosme Montez during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Chilecito FC booed when Puerta de Hierro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cosme Montez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carolo Luken might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Augusto Casomiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carolo Luken ran back to his position shaking his head. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Matias Pero made a kick off. Fabricio Salomone who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Emil Prusinowski when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Puerta de Hierro's Fabricio Salomone got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Matias Pero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Casomiro having to interfere. The supporters of Chilecito FC booed when Puerta de Hierro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Derlis Napier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amancio Porfiro hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Chilecito FC's Emil Prusinowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severino Nerio in the 69th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carolo Luken in the 80th minute of play forced Puerta de Hierro's goalkeeper Augusto Casomiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Matias Pero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Augusto Casomiro was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Puerta de Hierro's Augusto Casomiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matias Pero in the 89th minute of play. 90 minutes into the game, Fabricio Salomone cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Emil Prusinowski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fabricio Salomone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Emil Prusinowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emil Prusinowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Nerio in the 97th minute of the match. The Puerta de Hierro supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Puerta de Hierro would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
