Cecilio Lorenz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aquilino Lopez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With 54 minutes on the clock, Rodolfo Igon commited a dangerous tackle. After 61 played minutes, Club Deportivo Español's Eustaquio Chumo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Silvio Gartzea came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club Deportivo Español reached it. After 63 played minutes Independiente FC got a freekick which was hit by Vinicio Saturnin. Aquilino Lopez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Silvio Gartzea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th minute, Nereo Jacindo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Independiente FC's Silvio Gartzea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquilino Lopez in the 87th minute of play. Silvio Gartzea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aquilino Lopez, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. When Felix Balasi came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Independiente FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Balasi couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Club Deportivo Español booed when Independiente FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Balasi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Silvio Gartzea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Independiente FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
