After having played for 33 minutes, Leopoldo Ibañez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Azul y Oro Cris's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leopoldo Ibañez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adolfo Eneas hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Samuel Honesto struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Manfred Burman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El chairaje fc. After a defensive mix-up in Azul y Oro Cris's zone, Amancio Pietro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manfred Burman came out of the goal and Amancio Pietro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Azul y Oro Cris getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Uriel Mattin hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Leopoldo Ibañez struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Braulio Kepa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Azul y Oro Cris. Braulio Kepa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo Ibañez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Amancio Pietro managed to get in a good position for a shot. El chairaje fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Amancio Pietro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manfred Burman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manfred Burman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amancio Pietro in the 64th minute of play. El chairaje fc's Filomeno Hanni got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amancio Pietro in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manfred Burman saved Azul y Oro Cris from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Marciano Gipuzkoa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Braulio Kepa was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Adolfo Eneas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Braulio Kepa having to interfere.
