An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Ibañez in the 5th minute of play forced El Carmencito's goalkeeper Tomás Dolfo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leopoldo Ibañez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marciano Gipuzkoa in the 26th minute of play forced El Carmencito's goalkeeper Tomás Dolfo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to El Carmencito getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Ubaldo Iratze hit a great ball. Guillermo Frechoso charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guillermo Frechoso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 28th match minute, El Carmencito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Frechoso to maneuver through the defense. Leonides Ieltxu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Manfred Burman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When David Maore fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Carmencito's protests and gave David Maore a yellow card for diving instead. David Maore hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Tomás Dolfo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Ibañez in the 48th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Efrain Rexino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 60 minutes into the game, Flavio Austin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Carmencito's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Azul y Oro Cris the free kick. In the 60th minute, Flavio Austin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute of the match Valdemar Trancoso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tomás Dolfo skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to El Carmencito getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Ubaldo Iratze hit a great ball. David Maore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomás Dolfo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marciano Gipuzkoa in the 71st minute of play. Azul y Oro Cris's Mauro Frichoso shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 74th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Tomás Dolfo but with some difficulty. Tomás Dolfo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uriel Mattin, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After 85 played minutes, Azul y Oro Cris's Valdemar Trancoso shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tomás Dolfo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Azul y Oro Cris reached it. The crowd rose to their feet as Azul y Oro Cris's Uriel Mattin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tomás Dolfo. That made the score 0-4 after 88 minutes of play. The supporters of Azul y Oro Cris booed when El Carmencito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efrain Rexino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th match minute, El Carmencito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Javiero to maneuver through the defense. 98 minutes into the match, Marciano Gipuzkoa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tomás Dolfo, 0-5. Azul y Oro Cris's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
