In the 13th minute, Adrian Petrigai left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cerrito fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 20th minute, Cerrito's Teodoro Munio seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Teodoro Munio the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Cerrito protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Teodoro Munio had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 19th minute of the game. One of Cerrito:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cabal:s goal. Sebastian Rivero had in the 22ndth minute some difficulties stopping Evaristo Blasi's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Cerrito's goalkeeper Sebastian Rivero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Santos Quilo. 29 minutes into the game, Vinicio Crescencio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cerrito's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cabal the free kick. Vinicio Crescencio kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Cerrito's Sebastian Rivero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Osmundo in the 32nd minute of play. Adrian Petrigai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santo Naldo having to interfere. If Adrian Petrigai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Cerrito's Sebastian Rivero got control of the ball when Cristian Indar tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Generoso Eufrasio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Santo Naldo was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 61st minute Benito Quinten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Rivero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Cerrito booed when Cabal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvaro Romano didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 64 in the game by Adrian Petrigai from a close distance when the talented Santo Naldo managed to make a qualified save. Cabal's players were relieved. In the 67th minute of the match Cabal got a corner. Cerrito's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Evaristo Blasi ran over to the corner to take the kick. Sebastian Rivero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Indar in the 69th minute of play. Sebastian Rivero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvaro Romano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Adrian Petrigai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santo Naldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vinicio Crescencio in the 91st minute of play. In the 91st minute, Vinicio Crescencio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cabal had won after a very even match.
