Jonatan Esdras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Prestes having to interfere. Alvaro Inge took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ezequiel Paez. Ezequiel Paez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Domingo Lixandro charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Leonardo Prestes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gilberto Mino in the 19th minute. If Gilberto Mino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jonatan Esdras to make the kick off. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 72 minutes into the match, Los Bagres's goal looked a bit too open when Jonatan Esdras came free, but Leonardo Prestes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
