In the 12th minute, Havana FC's Stig Strand seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Stig Strand the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Havana FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Stig Strand had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 15 minutes into the game, Isaias Elequemedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Havana FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hoy Fútbol Club the free kick. Isaias Elequemedo hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Ricardo Bermudez kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Angelino Aznar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Bermudez in the 35th minute of play forced Havana FC's goalkeeper Serafino Arnau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Saverio Rios stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Hoy Fútbol Club walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
