Filiberto Lluciano charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guampacha FC's goalkeeper Nestor Perrando, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eustaquio Munio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Nestor Perrando made a huge save. Vilmer's Eustaquio Munio was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 89th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The Vilmer supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Vilmer would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
