The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Arnulfo Ipar was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 5 minutes into the match. 4 minutes into the game, one of Ragnarok:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a defensive mix-up in Red Hot Chili Peppers's zone, Ivan Guerau stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juhani Pihlainen came out of the goal and Ivan Guerau tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maxen Cassano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benigno Joachim having to interfere. Narciso Ortle kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. After 21 minutes, Victorio Sedeni mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Red Hot Chili Peppers and the Ragnarok players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Red Hot Chili Peppers getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Victorio Sedeni hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Red Hot Chili Peppers's Maxen Cassano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Benigno Joachim. That made the score 2-0 after 27 minutes of play. In the 33rd minute, one of Ragnarok:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ragnarok. Maxen Cassano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benigno Joachim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maxen Cassano in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benigno Joachim saved Ragnarok from getting behind. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Maxen Cassano sped through Ragnarok's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benigno Joachim.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maxen Cassano made a kick off. In the 50th minute, Narciso Ortle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Delmar Chale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th minute, Ragnarok's Elpidio Barrionuevo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Juhani Pihlainen. Juhani Pihlainen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-1. If Maxen Cassano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benigno Joachim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maxen Cassano, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Delmar Chale struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Benigno Joachim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Red Hot Chili Peppers. Benigno Joachim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maxen Cassano in the 62nd minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Ragnarok's goal looked a bit too open when Maxen Cassano came free, but Benigno Joachim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elpidio Barrionuevo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Juhani Pihlainen made a huge save. The referee felt a red card was in order, 74 minutes into the game, when Nicolas Dantel put in a rough tackle. After 73 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Red Hot Chili Peppers! Juhani Pihlainen had in the 76thth minute some difficulties stopping Roque Alfonso's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Maxen Cassano took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benigno Joachim. Benigno Joachim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. 97 minutes into the match, Feliciano Vimaro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benigno Joachim. Ragnarok's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Feliciano Vimaro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-2. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Red Hot Chili Peppers fully deserved thier win.
