The referee ignored Puyel's protests and gave Emanuel Valente a yellow card for diving instead. Iker Gonchan ran back to his position shaking his head. Ulises Frasco's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 94thth minute, Efrain Niva skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Puyel's Gustavo Urtzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Confesor in the 95th minute of play. Puyel's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
