Silvano Quinto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Jimeno Ferdinand made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Chacarita FC's Higinio Guter slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jimeno Ferdinand. That made the score 1-0 after 11 minutes of play. 15 minutes into the match, Chacarita FC's goal looked a bit too open when Filomeno Nabar came free, but Hernan Dorio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Quelly's Jimeno Ferdinand got control of the ball when Florencio Tartalo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Quelly's Osvaldo Montrel got a free kick in the 18th minute. 21 minutes into the game, Quelly's Filomeno Nabar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hernan Dorio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Hernan Dorio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filomeno Nabar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hernan Dorio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filomeno Nabar, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Cesar Nardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimeno Ferdinand having to interfere. Osvaldo Montrel kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. The supporters of Quelly booed when Chacarita FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eriberto Suarez didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Clodoveo Mon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Quelly's Marcelino Leguizamón was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hernan Dorio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jimeno Ferdinand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Higinio Guter in the 56th minute of the match. Florencio Tartalo struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Jimeno Ferdinand didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chacarita FC. Hernan Dorio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clodoveo Mon, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. If Florencio Tartalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
