The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauricio Dalmai got free with Jacinto Naelio in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 19thth minute of the game Danilo Oro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Gestión's Jacinto Naelio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. General Paz's Manuel Tome quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Benedicto Haritzeder, made in the 24th minute of the game. La Gestión's Jacinto Naelio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Oro in the 28th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Mauricio Dalmai's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacinto Naelio was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Danilo Oro in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacinto Naelio saved La Gestión from getting behind. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Mauricio Dalmai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 58th minute, Mauricio Dalmai ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacinto Naelio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Danilo Oro struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Jacinto Naelio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for General Paz. Jacinto Naelio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Danilo Oro's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danilo Oro in the 69th minute of play forced La Gestión's goalkeeper Jacinto Naelio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Saul Ixaka kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tomas Gamus. That made the score 1-2 in the 74 minute of play. La Gestión's Urbano Sotil was substituted for Marco Enol.
