The referee ignored El Eje del Norte's protests and gave Victoriano Chus a yellow card for diving instead. After 14 played minutes El Eje del Norte got a freekick which was hit by Victoriano Chus. After 15 played minutes, Parque Avellaneda's Israel Jago shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper German Dominix came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Parque Avellaneda reached it. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Emilio Machado put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of German Dominix. German Dominix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Urtsua in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute Emilio Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but German Dominix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, Parque Avellaneda's Emilio Machado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. German Dominix made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 31stth minute of the game Fernando Urtsua who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Eje del Norte's German Dominix was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. German Dominix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilio Machado in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 38th match minute, Parque Avellaneda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nunez Cresconio to maneuver through the defense. After 39 played minutes, El Eje del Norte's Victoriano Chus shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ezequiel Lauaxeta came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emilio Machado in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg German Dominix saved El Eje del Norte from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emilio Machado to strike the kick off in the second half. Emilio Machado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but German Dominix read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. German Dominix made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Fernando Urtsua sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernando Urtsua got free with German Dominix in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. German Dominix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 69th minute Emilio Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but German Dominix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of El Eje del Norte booed when Parque Avellaneda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgilio Rutenio didn't get a good kick on the ball. El Eje del Norte's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Emilio Machado 86 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-4.
