Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Racing Club's Arnaldo Milian started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Fidel Hermelando. CADU de Zarate's Carmelo Valente got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Racing Club's zone, Carmelo Valente stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leon Benvide came out of the goal and Carmelo Valente tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 16 minutes into the match, CADU de Zarate's goal looked a bit too open when Agustin Barbosa came free, but Ovidio Prejun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Agustin Barbosa came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Racing Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agustin Barbosa couldn't finish the play. Leon Benvide showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Constantino Gartzea in the 22nd minute of the match. If Leonel Balendin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Racing Club's Leon Benvide proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Racing Club from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaldo Milian in the 32nd minute of play forced CADU de Zarate's goalkeeper Ovidio Prejun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carmelo Valente might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leon Benvide. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carmelo Valente ran back to his position shaking his head. CADU de Zarate's Constantino Gartzea got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ovidio Prejun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo Milian, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

If Constantino Gartzea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 55 minutes into the match, Constantino Gartzea notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Racing Club's Leon Benvide. Leon Benvide was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Constantino Gartzea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 64th minute by Agustin Barbosa got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Carmelo Valente hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in CADU de Zarate's zone, Arnaldo Milian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ovidio Prejun came out of the goal and Arnaldo Milian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Constantino Gartzea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon Benvide having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Constantino Gartzea in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leon Benvide saved Racing Club from getting behind. Carmelo Valente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Leon Benvide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Constantino Gartzea in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leon Benvide saved Racing Club from getting behind. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Racing Club's goalkeeper Leon Benvide, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Racing Club's zone, Carmelo Valente stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leon Benvide came out of the goal and Carmelo Valente tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Constantino Gartzea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute, Carmelo Valente got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Constantino Gartzea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leon Benvide was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Racing Club's zone, Leonel Balendin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leon Benvide came out of the goal and Leonel Balendin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Despite being the better team, CADU de Zarate failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
