Batacazo F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 9th minute, Edgardo Bide hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 14 minutes, Maximiliano Vidal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Batacazo F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximiliano Vidal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Batacazo F.C. booed when C. A. Pueyrredón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nemesio Gabon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in C. A. Pueyrredón's zone, Saul Polo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aquiles Paz came out of the goal and Saul Polo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Saul Polo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquiles Paz having to interfere. In the 33rd minute Maximiliano Vidal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aquiles Paz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Vidal in the 36th minute of play forced C. A. Pueyrredón's goalkeeper Aquiles Paz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Batacazo F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Isidro Niva came free, but Carolo Urbasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Maximiliano Vidal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carolo Urbasa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isidro Niva's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Maximiliano Vidal made the kick off in the second half. When Maximiliano Vidal came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Batacazo F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximiliano Vidal couldn't finish the play. Batacazo F.C.'s Maximiliano Vidal got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 55 played minutes C. A. Pueyrredón got a freekick which was hit by Nemesio Gabon. Aquiles Paz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Vidal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
