In the 16thth minute of the game Leo Jaizki who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oroño AFC's Haroldo Odilon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 18th minute, Donato Fernado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jimeno Lico was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 22 minutes into the match, Urbano Olayo notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Colón's Jimeno Lico. Oroño AFC's Haroldo Odilon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leo Jaizki in the 54th minute of play. Jimeno Lico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Fernado, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Gerardo Mede fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haroldo Odilon having to interfere. Eriberto Petri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st minute Urbano Olayo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimeno Lico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Despite being the better team, Colón failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
