Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Gil Donatello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aureliano Llope having to interfere. Aureliano Llope came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Gimnasia CdelU's Gil Donatello. But to his dismay, Gil Donatello quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Aureliano Llope took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gil Donatello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gimnasia CdelU's Gil Donatello got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Gil Donatello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aureliano Llope took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Mincho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Gimnasia CdelU getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Pablo Quentin hit a great ball. Laureano Berbiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aquilino Neto came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by DEPORTIVO ZAETA's Felix Hermon. But to his dismay, Felix Hermon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gil Donatello stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Artemio Lluques hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 52nd minute by Pedro Mincho got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Gil Donatello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 55 played minutes DEPORTIVO ZAETA got a freekick which was hit by Paulino Silvino. The supporters of Gimnasia CdelU booed when DEPORTIVO ZAETA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Rico didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute, Abel Eutropio sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and DEPORTIVO ZAETA's Aureliano Llope didn't even have to move. Roger van Gastel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aureliano Llope read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. After 74 played minutes DEPORTIVO ZAETA got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Rico. If Pablo Quentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aureliano Llope came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Gimnasia CdelU's Gil Donatello. But to his dismay, Gil Donatello quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After 90 played minutes Gimnasia CdelU got a freekick which was hit by Fidel Derwin. 93 minutes into the game, Pablo Quentin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gimnasia CdelU's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave DEPORTIVO ZAETA the free kick. Pablo Quentin hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Aquilino Neto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laureano Berbiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
