Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gualterio Abeitia got the match started through his kick off. Jorge Endura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Lando having to interfere. Papin's Ismael Lando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Ponzio in the 7th minute of play. Ismael Lando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Endura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute Gualterio Abeitia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Lando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Manuel Hartz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Papin fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. River MdP's Marcelo Cordarrel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Cidro in the 27th minute of play. Manuel Hartz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Cordarrel having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, Papin's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Endura came free, but Ismael Lando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gualterio Abeitia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Lando having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hugo Cidro in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelo Cordarrel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hugo Cidro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Marcelo Cordarrel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Hugo Cidro made the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Presebal charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonathan Presebal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 55th match minute, Papin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Presebal to maneuver through the defense. Ismael Lando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualterio Abeitia, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind River MdP's goalkeeper Marcelo Cordarrel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 69 minutes, Hugo Cidro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Papin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo Cidro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jorge Endura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Ismael Lando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Manuel Hartz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marcelo Cordarrel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aristides Lluciano, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 80th minute Hugo Cidro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Cordarrel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of River MdP booed when Papin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aristides Lluciano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelo Cordarrel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Hartz in the 88th minute of the match. When Hugo Cidro came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Papin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo Cidro couldn't finish the play. After 92 played minutes Papin got a freekick which was hit by Astor Martinez. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
