Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isidro Jenaro in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Barros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dante Quintyn took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Barros. Pedro Barros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Isidro Jenaro made a kick off. The Menucos fans' excitement grew in the 51st match minute when Menucos's Isidro Jenaro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a little luck, Papin's Pedro Barros got control of the ball when Dante Quintyn tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pedro Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidro Jenaro in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidro Jenaro in the 75th minute of play forced Papin's goalkeeper Pedro Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Menucos supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Menucos would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
