An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Maraman in the 7th minute of play forced Rio de la Plata's goalkeeper Inocencio Fonso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luisito Jorrin hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute, Marcelino Iraido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roque Emmanuel made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Jonas Estebano sent off a good shot on target. In the 27th minute, Jonas Estebano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rio de la Plata fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Rio de la Plata's goalkeeper Inocencio Fonso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Jonas Estebano put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Roque Emmanuel. Inocencio Fonso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnoldo Luken in the 35th minute of the match. Rio de la Plata's Inocencio Fonso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Maraman in the 40th minute of play. Roque Emmanuel made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Jonas Estebano sent off a good shot on target. Jonas Estebano came free with the goalkeeper in the 44th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Roque Emmanuel could save by the left post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Ismael Stephen got free with Inocencio Fonso in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot by Isaias Argoitz from long distance, 82 minutes into the match, got Inocencio Fonso's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Marcelino Iraido charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcelino Iraido the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 83rd minute, Marcelino Iraido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santo Ovando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roque Emmanuel having to interfere. Donato Maraman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Inocencio Fonso came out and tried to block the shot, but Donato Maraman slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 92nd minute. 95 minutes into the match, pero ma bieeeen's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Estebano came free, but Roque Emmanuel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonas Estebano in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roque Emmanuel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rio de la Plata walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
