The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 10th minute, Santos Fertus made a precise shot to the right of Efrain Osoitz. Infix FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Santos Fertus during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Calderilla getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Santos Fertus hit a great ball. 15 minutes into the game, Calderilla's Cristo Ferrando nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Efrain Osoitz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 18th match minute, Infix FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herminio Domeka to maneuver through the defense. Efrain Osoitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristo Ferrando in the 19th minute of the match. The supporters of Infix FC booed when Calderilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iker Eron didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eustacio Ferran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Jano Prestes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santos Fertus might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Efrain Osoitz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Santos Fertus ran back to his position shaking his head. Calderilla's Jano Prestes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Calderilla from getting a goal against them. Santos Fertus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Efrain Osoitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the game, Infix FC's Ernesto Evis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jano Prestes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After the first half Calderilla were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Ernesto Evis made the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Ernesto Evis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Calderilla's Jano Prestes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Efrain Osoitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santos Fertus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Calderilla's Jano Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustacio Ferran in the 54th minute of play. Iker Eron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Efrain Osoitz having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Ernesto Evis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Infix FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernesto Evis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jano Prestes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Infix FC booed when Calderilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evelio Gartzen didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Santos Fertus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
