The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Club Atletico Peñarol's Humberto Etxatxu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emilio Lando in the 2nd minute of play. 2 minutes into the match, Emilio Lando had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Humberto Etxatxu. Club Atletico Peñarol's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emilio Lando was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 10th match minute, Club Atletico Peñarol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pablo Orkatz to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Carr City FC's zone, Jonatan Tolino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albano Kauldi came out of the goal and Jonatan Tolino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 17 minutes in the game, Leandro Brun dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Jonatan Tolino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Albano Kauldi made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Leandro Brun's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albano Kauldi was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. After 27 minutes of play, Carr City FC's Emilio Lando made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Humberto Etxatxu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Humberto Etxatxu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pablo Hermelando in the 31st minute of the match. 0-3 became the score in the 35th minute when Emilio Lando elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 39thth minute of the game Leandro Brun who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carr City FC's Albano Kauldi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico Peñarol's zone, Pablo Hermelando stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Humberto Etxatxu came out of the goal and Pablo Hermelando tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Leandro Brun's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albano Kauldi was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. After the first half Carr City FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emilio Lando to make the kick off. After 52 minutes Club Atletico Peñarol's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mateo Argider who took care of the corner kick. After 55 played minutes, Carr City FC's Mateo Argider shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Humberto Etxatxu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Carr City FC reached it. After 56 played minutes Club Atletico Peñarol got a freekick which was hit by Igor Benet. Sebastian Dodorol hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. The supporters of Carr City FC booed when Club Atletico Peñarol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Benet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carr City FC's Mateo Argider couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Club Atletico Peñarol. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carr City FC's goalkeeper Albano Kauldi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jonatan Tolino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 71 minutes into the game, Sebastian Dodorol was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carr City FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atletico Peñarol the free kick. Sebastian Dodorol hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute Leandro Brun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albano Kauldi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Club Atletico Peñarol booed when Carr City FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pablo Hermelando didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonatan Tolino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albano Kauldi having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilio Lando in the 79th minute of play forced Club Atletico Peñarol's goalkeeper Humberto Etxatxu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute, Igor Benet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute, Emilio Lando made a precise shot to the right of Humberto Etxatxu. Club Atletico Peñarol's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Conrado Chumo during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 90 played minutes Carr City FC got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Chumo. The Club Atletico Peñarol supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Carr City FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Carr City FC.
