The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alfonso Gentza kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Ignacio Ieltxu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaston Bilbo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Efrain Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Haroldo Lartaun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute, Clodoveo Jatsu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gaston Bilbo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Tionso's Donato Rio in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Calchines AFC's goalie prevented a goal. After some careless play in the Calchines AFC defense, Donato Rio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abelardo Jaume. The Calchines AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abelardo Jaume should have stopped the shot. Efrain Abreu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ignacio Ieltxu came out and tried to block the shot, but Efrain Abreu slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 33rd minute. Marcial Mederi hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Ignacio Ieltxu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Efrain Abreu in the 47th minute. After the first half Tionso were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gaston Bilbo was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Calchines AFC's Abelardo Jaume got control of the ball when Donato Rio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Santiago Erramu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaston Bilbo in the 59th minute of play forced Tionso's goalkeeper Ignacio Ieltxu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Siro Tavio during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Tionso's Siro Tavio got a free kick in the 63rd minute. If Efrain Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 68 minutes, Gaston Bilbo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Calchines AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaston Bilbo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 70th minute, Oscar Ibar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ignacio Ieltxu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaston Bilbo in the 75th minute of play. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tionso's goalkeeper Ignacio Ieltxu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tionso's Donato Rio was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 78th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Ignacio Ieltxu came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Calchines AFC's Efrain Abreu. But to his dismay, Efrain Abreu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. After a rather tough play, Tionso's Oscar Ibar got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 90th minute Gaston Bilbo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignacio Ieltxu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 92 in the game by Donato Rio from a close distance when the talented Abelardo Jaume managed to make a qualified save. Calchines AFC's players were relieved. Marcial Mederi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute, Donato Rio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Donato Rio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Jaume having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Tionso had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
