If Hector Fertus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santiago Benino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ramon Orlo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santiago Benino, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 45 minutes into the match, Damaso Salvator notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Boca Juniors's Ramon Orlo. Ramon Orlo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Santiago Benino to strike the kick off in the second half. Aquilino Santio hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. With his leg Ramon Orlo managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when Strobel's Santiago Benino fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With 78 minutes on the clock, Florentino Orain commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 78th minute, one of Boca Juniors:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Boca Juniors. Lázaro Naldo shot the penalty kick right outside the post. In the 93rd minute, Hector Acosta fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ramon Orlo, passed just outside the right post. Hector Fertus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Lázaro Naldo fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Strobel's protests and gave Lázaro Naldo a yellow card for diving instead. The referee gave Boca Juniors a penalty, 99 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gaspar Belarmo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Strobel's Alejo Herensuge. 2-2. Strobel were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
