Arnaldo Urtats's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Norberto Bilbo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. When Narciso Dabi got free in front of the goal in the 16th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Jorge Madaleno was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After 17 played minutes Yanda Pirata y Celeste got a freekick which was hit by Clodoveo Lucila. If Pablo Chorache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pablo Chorache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the match, Federal 's Pablo Chorache sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jorge Madaleno narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Yanda Pirata y Celeste getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Serafino Onbera hit a great ball. When Narciso Dabi came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Federal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Narciso Dabi couldn't finish the play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
