Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Braulio Lia got the match started through his kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Mercedes's Marcos Pitin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anibal Reynardo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Braulio Lia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 9th minute, Urbano Osorio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anibal Reynardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Pitin in the 15th minute of the match. After having played for 16 minutes, Zeledon Corderro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Desaguadero FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zeledon Corderro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arnaldo Venceslas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Anibal Reynardo made a huge save. Braulio Lia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zeledon Corderro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Braulio Lia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcos Pitin to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leopoldo Ubarna during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Leopoldo Ubarna hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zeledon Corderro got free with Roque Abancens in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marcos Pitin charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcos Pitin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 59 played minutes Mercedes got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Pitin. Anibal Reynardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Venceslas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zeledon Corderro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Roque Abancens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zeledon Corderro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Roque Abancens made a huge save. Leopoldo Ubarna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roque Abancens having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Marcos Pitin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Roque Abancens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Braulio Lia, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After a rather tough play, Desaguadero FC's Leopoldo Ubarna got a free kick in the 90th minute. Arnaldo Venceslas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anibal Reynardo having to interfere. In the 97th minute Urbano Osorio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anibal Reynardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Desaguadero FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
