The tension between the Zapiola AFC and the Tandil AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 11th minute, Anier Galo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 12th minute, Romulo Monico left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tandil AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The audience was convinced that Patricio Guerau's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gervasio Ascencio was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Tandil AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eustaquio Enmanuel in the 33rd minute. If Patricio Guerau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romulo Monico in the 38th minute of play forced Zapiola AFC's goalkeeper Gervasio Ascencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Zapiola AFC's zone, Romulo Monico stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Victorio Madaleno was the one to do the kick off. Gervasio Ascencio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eustaquio Enmanuel, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. The supporters of Zapiola AFC booed when Tandil AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Cordeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Patricio Guerau in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gervasio Ascencio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Reynaldo Admon hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Romulo Monico got free with Gervasio Ascencio in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gervasio Ascencio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Patricio Guerau showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 78 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Ciro Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tandil AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciro Cordeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gervasio Ascencio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zapiola AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tandil AFC the free kick. After 90 played minutes Zapiola AFC got a freekick which was hit by Vladimiro Papo. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Agustin Restu in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jairo Phelipe saved Tandil AFC from getting behind. Tandil AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
