The crowd rose to their feet as Barburín's Angel Cayo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Carlos Pacho. That made the score 2-0 after 9 minutes of play. Arnulfo Bernal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Carlos Pacho made a huge save. Carlos Pacho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnulfo Bernal in the 15th minute. In the 22nd minute, Leonides Gai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mercedes AFC's Clemente Mikeldi couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Barburín. 24 minutes into the match, Barburín's goal looked a bit too open when Saul Bibiano came free, but German Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Angel Cayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saul Bibiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
The wind increased when Angel Cayo made the kick off in the second half. Leonides Gai kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Mercedes AFC's Clemente Mikeldi tried to score from far away in the 54th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. German Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saul Bibiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After a rather tough play, Mercedes AFC's Clemente Mikeldi got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Arnulfo Bernal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Pacho having to interfere. With a little luck, Barburín's German Marques got control of the ball when Delmar Iztal tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Saul Bibiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Alvaro Aurken fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mercedes AFC's protests and gave Alvaro Aurken a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Mercedes AFC's Alvaro Aurken got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 72nd minute, Angel Cayo made a precise shot to the right of Carlos Pacho. Mercedes AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. The attack was good, but when Saul Bibiano in the 90th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 91st minute, Delmar Iztal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 97 minutes into the game, Celestino Sein was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mercedes AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barburín the free kick. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Barburín were victorious despite being under pressure from Mercedes AFC for much of the match.
