Eloy Pasqual fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Berbiz having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 12th minute by Denis Medardo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Denis Medardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 20th minute, Gonzalez Catan FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Denis Medardo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Elvio Misael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eloy Pasqual sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vicente Berbiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Paulin, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 33rd match minute, Matambre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilio Stanislao to maneuver through the defense. Denis Medardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Jimeno Laffitte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adriana Mon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimeno Laffitte having to interfere. If Elvio Misael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eloy Pasqual received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Vicente Berbiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eloy Pasqual to make the kick off. Vicente Berbiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eloy Pasqual in the 58th minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Matambre's goalkeeper Vicente Berbiz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eriberto Abel. Eloy Pasqual received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Vicente Berbiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Matambre's Vicente Berbiz got control of the ball when Elvio Misael tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leandro Cebrian charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leandro Cebrian the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Denis Medardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Matambre's Vicente Berbiz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Matambre from getting a goal against them. Matambre's defense didn't have a chance, in the 75th minute, when Eloy Pasqual scored to the left of an out of position Vicente Berbiz, making the score, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Gonzalez Catan FC's Nicolas Paulin got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 82nd minute, Eloy Pasqual got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elvio Misael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Elvio Misael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st match minute, Matambre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denis Medardo to maneuver through the defense. Vicente Berbiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eloy Pasqual in the 94th minute of play. When the match was over Gonzalez Catan FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Matambre throughout the match.
