In the 15thth minute of the game Amado Ramone who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Progresso's Siro Venceslao was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Prudencio Oihenarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaston Ondino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Progresso's Siro Venceslao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amado Ramone in the 23rd minute of play. In the 27th minute Santiago Illart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prudencio Oihenarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Progresso's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caldera FC the free kick. Eduardo Cordario kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, Progresso's goal looked a bit too open when Teofilo Malvin came free, but Siro Venceslao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santiago Illart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prudencio Oihenarte having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Caldera FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gaston Ondino fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Santiago Illart could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Prudencio Oihenarte made a huge save. Amado Ramone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Siro Venceslao having to interfere. Gaston Ondino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Siro Venceslao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amado Ramone in the 80th minute of play. Teofilo Malvin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Prudencio Oihenarte was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Progresso's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
