Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Genaro Orixe kicked off to start the match. After 5 played minutes Sumamao got a freekick which was hit by Elvio Elequemedo. Americo Argoitz kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Santiago Illart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 16 minutes into the game, Santiago Illart lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Modesto Ihazintu. In the 22nd minute, Flavio Quexal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Gaston Ondino came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Progresso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaston Ondino couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Genaro Orixe in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Siro Venceslao prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Americo Argoitz hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Ismael Ixona, 34 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. With a little luck, Sumamao's Modesto Ihazintu got control of the ball when Santiago Illart tried to sneak it across the goal line. Juan Cordero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Siro Venceslao having to interfere. Gaston Ondino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute, Santiago Illart got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sumamao's goalkeeper Modesto Ihazintu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Genaro Orixe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Siro Venceslao tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The wind increased when Gaston Ondino made the kick off in the second half. Santiago Illart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Modesto Ihazintu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Progresso's Santiago Illart in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sumamao's goalie prevented a goal. Modesto Ihazintu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaston Ondino's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. When Gaston Ondino came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Progresso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaston Ondino couldn't finish the play. Zacarias Cordeiro hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Siro Venceslao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Genaro Orixe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaston Ondino in the 80th minute of play forced Sumamao's goalkeeper Modesto Ihazintu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Modesto Ihazintu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaston Ondino's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Zacarias Cordeiro struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Modesto Ihazintu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Progresso.
