Teodoro Salomone came out of the goal and Ermegildo Iruinea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 13th minute, Santiago Romano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Soda Stereo FC Unplugged fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After 17 minutes, Santiago Romano made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Saldán's Teodoro Salomone tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 25thth minute of the game Santiago Romano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Saldán's Teodoro Salomone was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baldomiro Laurendi got free with Orlando Iratzeder in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Santiago Romano in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teodoro Salomone saved Saldán from getting behind. Soda Stereo FC Unplugged's Orlando Iratzeder proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Soda Stereo FC Unplugged from getting a goal against them. When Santiago Romano came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Soda Stereo FC Unplugged fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santiago Romano couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Saldán's zone, Delmiro Lleir stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodoro Salomone came out of the goal and Delmiro Lleir tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Saldán's Teodoro Salomone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago Romano in the 37th minute of play. Teodoro Salomone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santiago Romano, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After the first half Soda Stereo FC Unplugged were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Santiago Romano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Saldán's Celso Mano got a free kick in the 55th minute. Santiago Romano struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. With his leg Teodoro Salomone managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when Soda Stereo FC Unplugged's Santiago Romano fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Benito Oskitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodoro Salomone having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Santiago Romano put it in 0-7 from a short distance just to the right of Teodoro Salomone.
