The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Boedo FC defense, Patricio Maule kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Higinio Ellande. The Boedo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Higinio Ellande should have stopped the shot. Israel Gustau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 16 minutes into the match, Boedo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Teodosio Pasqual came free, but Higinio Ellande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorge Favila's late challenge caught a Muñoz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorge Favila helped the player get up and apologised. Thanks to some nice moves Patricio Maule could shoot a difficult shot in the 20th minute, which Higinio Ellande however easily saved by the left post. Edelmiro Argoitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafino Duardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edelmiro Argoitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafino Duardo in the 34th minute of the match. Israel Gustau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Edelmiro Argoitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Serafino Duardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the match, Boedo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Teodosio Pasqual came free, but Higinio Ellande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Serafino Duardo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edelmiro Argoitz. Muñoz's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Serafino Duardo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patricio Maule in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Higinio Ellande saved Boedo FC from getting behind. Boedo FC's Higinio Ellande played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodosio Pasqual in the 57th minute of play. After 64 minutes of play Boedo FC's Jorge Favila was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Muñoz booed when Boedo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Favila didn't get a good kick on the ball. Higinio Ellande made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Maule in the 66th minute of play. Jonathan Macias charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonathan Macias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Muñoz booed when Boedo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Macias didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 83rd minute by Israel Gustau got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a little luck, Muñoz's Edelmiro Argoitz got control of the ball when Israel Gustau tried to sneak it across the goal line. Muñoz's Teodosio Pasqual got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nereo Laurentzi's late challenge caught a Boedo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nereo Laurentzi helped the player get up and apologised. Muñoz's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
