The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Vieytes AFC's Dionisio Peru got a free kick in the 3rd minute. With an all-out effort, Muñoz's Fulgencio Havier threw himself towards the right post 4 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Teodosio Pasqual, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 11th minute, Adriana Viator left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vieytes AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Patricio Maule's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fulgencio Havier read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Edelmiro Argoitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriana Viator in the 24th minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Muñoz's Patricio Maule nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fulgencio Havier made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. When Teodosio Pasqual fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Muñoz's protests and gave Teodosio Pasqual a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Muñoz's Teodosio Pasqual got a free kick in the 29th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Adriana Viator managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vieytes AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Adriana Viator was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edelmiro Argoitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Saul Abarca fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vieytes AFC's protests and gave Saul Abarca a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Vieytes AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 36th minute. Penalty! Patricio Maule sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

If Teodosio Pasqual had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fulgencio Havier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Patricio Maule's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Teodosio Pasqual recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 62 minutes into the match, Vieytes AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Maule came free, but Fulgencio Havier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fulgencio Havier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Maule in the 65th minute of the match. Teodosio Pasqual received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Fulgencio Havier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adriana Viator received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. In the 93rd minute Adriana Viator shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edelmiro Argoitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Benito Petrigai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriana Viator in the 96th minute of play forced Muñoz's goalkeeper Edelmiro Argoitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Muñoz were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Vieytes AFC for a fine match.
