The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute, Gustavo Ellande got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Donato Hernandez hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Simbol defense, Fulgencio Laffitte kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Genaro Lartaun. The Simbol fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Genaro Lartaun should have stopped the shot. When Gustavo Ellande came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Hualjaina AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustavo Ellande couldn't finish the play. Fulgencio Laffitte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genaro Lartaun having to interfere. 39 minutes in the game, Gustavo Ellande fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Genaro Lartaun having to interfere. Simbol's defense didn't have a chance, in the 43rd minute, when Fulgencio Laffitte scored to the left of an out of position Genaro Lartaun, making the score, 4-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silvestre Guillelmo to make the kick off. Genaro Lartaun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fulgencio Laffitte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silvestre Guillelmo in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgard Ponciano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arnulfo Munio hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. If Gustavo Ellande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvestre Guillelmo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Ponciano having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Simbol's Silvestre Guillelmo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Edgard Ponciano. Edgard Ponciano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-1. The supporters of Simbol booed when Hualjaina AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blas Gonzales didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Everardo Oidor fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hualjaina AFC's protests and gave Everardo Oidor a yellow card for diving instead. After 73 played minutes Hualjaina AFC got a freekick which was hit by Everardo Oidor. In the 74th minute, Donato Hernandez fired a really elegant long shot, but Edgard Ponciano threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. When Fulgencio Laffitte fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hualjaina AFC's protests and gave Fulgencio Laffitte a yellow card for diving instead. In the 82nd minute, Simbol's Silvestre Guillelmo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-2. After 88 played minutes Simbol got a freekick which was hit by Octavio Ferdinand. After recieving a nice pass, Hualjaina AFC's Blas Gonzales tried to score from far away in the 89th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Justo Bernabel came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Simbol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Justo Bernabel couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Hualjaina AFC's zone, Silvestre Guillelmo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgard Ponciano came out of the goal and Silvestre Guillelmo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There was no doubt that Hualjaina AFC were the better team. Hualjaina AFC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
