Isidro Cresencio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Angel Chinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angel Chinto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Obeko in the 26th minute of play. A collision led to Tinoco AFC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Cosme Ekain hit a great ball. In the 38th minute Armando Obeko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angel Chinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Armando Obeko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angel Chinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidro Cresencio, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Tinoco AFC's Everardo Clis got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rolando Arnau made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Everardo Clis sent off a good shot on target. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 54th minute of the match, Isidro Cresencio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Angel Chinto saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Erasmo Euloxu lost his temper 57 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 57th minute of the game. One of Palomitas:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tinoco AFC:s goal. Palomitas:s Rolando Arnau showed great skill when he stopped Sixto Breogan:s penalty. Jesus Ekialde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 64 minutes into the game, Melchor Joanes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tinoco AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palomitas the free kick. The supporters of Palomitas booed when Tinoco AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melchor Joanes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Tinoco AFC's goalkeeper Angel Chinto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Armando Obeko. After a defensive mix-up in Tinoco AFC's zone, Jacobo Rosio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angel Chinto came out of the goal and Jacobo Rosio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 89 minutes into the match, Tinoco AFC's Apolo Joseph sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rolando Arnau narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Armando Obeko was extremely unlucky when he, in the 91st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Armando Obeko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Angel Chinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Armando Obeko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palomitas's supporters rose to their feet, but Armando Obeko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angel Chinto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
