With a little luck, Babilonia FC's Modesto Natal got control of the ball when Nereo Quinito tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lisandro Roano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Modesto Natal having to interfere. In the 10th match minute, Babilonia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Placido Remir to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute of the match, Lisandro Roano tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Modesto Natal saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 17 minutes into the match, Silverio Madaleno notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Acostilla's Eloy Tavio. Eloy Tavio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Lisandro Roano took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Modesto Natal to make any attempt to save it. After 25 played minutes Acostilla got a freekick which was hit by Hernan Columbo. Marciano Gudesteo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eloy Tavio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silverio Madaleno, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. When Marciano Gudesteo came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Babilonia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marciano Gudesteo couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benedicto Enekoitz during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Eloy Tavio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marciano Gudesteo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Silverio Madaleno to strike the kick off in the second half. If Marciano Gudesteo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 75 minutes, Marciano Gudesteo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Babilonia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marciano Gudesteo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lisandro Roano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Modesto Natal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With 80 minutes on the clock, Mauro Oier commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 80 minutes into the game, one of Babilonia FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Gonzalo Abecia might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eloy Tavio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gonzalo Abecia ran back to his position shaking his head. Filiberto Pacorro's late challenge caught a Babilonia FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filiberto Pacorro helped the player get up and apologised. Filiberto Pacorro hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Christian Donzel was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 97th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.
