Teo Ekaitz hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. 7 minutes into the game, C.D. Oriente Petrolero's Elias Calvino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vicente Arnau made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Feliberto Rodriguez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Vicente Arnau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Taquimilán's zone, Feliberto Rodriguez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vicente Arnau came out of the goal and Feliberto Rodriguez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vicente Arnau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feliberto Rodriguez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th match minute, Taquimilán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Honorio Gonzalez to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Feliberto Rodriguez sped through Taquimilán's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vicente Arnau. 36 minutes into the match, C.D. Oriente Petrolero's Arturo Ieltxu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vicente Arnau narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 42nd minute, Roque Medardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Feliberto Rodriguez in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vicente Arnau saved Taquimilán from getting behind. Feliberto Rodriguez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Arnau having to interfere. C.D. Oriente Petrolero's attack was well implemented in the 48th minute, but when Feliberto Rodriguez was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Feliberto Rodriguez made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Arturo Ieltxu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Feliberto Rodriguez in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vicente Arnau saved Taquimilán from getting behind. After 58 played minutes Taquimilán got a freekick which was hit by Lino Godoy. After a defensive mix-up in Taquimilán's zone, Feliberto Rodriguez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vicente Arnau came out of the goal and Feliberto Rodriguez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arturo Ieltxu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Taquimilán's Delmar Azevedo got a free kick in the 81st minute. Feliberto Rodriguez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roque Medardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Feliberto Rodriguez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Vicente Arnau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arturo Ieltxu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vicente Arnau came out and tried to block the shot, but Arturo Ieltxu slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 96th minute. C.D. Oriente Petrolero's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
