With a left leg Aldo Corderun saved Tapebicuá from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Filomeno Montel during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Constantino Berto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aldo Corderun having to interfere. A collision led to Tapebicuá getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Filomeno Montel hit a great ball. Silvestre Gaitan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eustacio Ubarna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Constantino Berto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aldo Corderun having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Prudencio Ondino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aldo Corderun. Tapebicuá's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Prudencio Ondino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Aldo Corderun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Constantino Berto, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd match minute, Tapebicuá was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filomeno Montel to maneuver through the defense. Eustacio Ubarna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 27 minutes, Adolfo Rolado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tapebicuá's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adolfo Rolado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee showed Leonides Izotz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 38 played minutes Tapebicuá got a freekick which was hit by Leonides Izotz. After recieving a nice pass, Torres's Bernabe Lastur tried to score from far away in the 39th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Guillermo Rolado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eustacio Ubarna to make the kick off. Adolfo Rolado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Silvestre Gaitan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Prudencio Ondino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Torres's Bernabe Lastur got a free kick in the 61st minute. After having played for 62 minutes, Miguel Gil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Silvestre Gaitan came out of the goal and Eustacio Ubarna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adolfo Rolado might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silvestre Gaitan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adolfo Rolado ran back to his position shaking his head. Eustacio Ubarna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvestre Gaitan having to interfere. When Prudencio Ondino came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Torres fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Prudencio Ondino couldn't finish the play. 92 minutes into the match, Tapebicuá's goal looked a bit too open when Constantino Berto came free, but Aldo Corderun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tapebicuá's Aldo Corderun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Tapebicuá from getting a goal against them. If Constantino Berto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
