Roque Quintin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Ezequiel Bela made a huge save. Andres Astigar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roque Quintin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Ezequiel Bela made a huge save. In the 13thth minute of the game Marcelino Jago who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bengolea's Ezequiel Bela was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 17 minutes of play, Quilmes FC's Roque Quintin made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ezequiel Bela was left in no man's land by his defense there! Roque Quintin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Marcelino Jago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcelino Jago in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ezequiel Bela saved Bengolea from getting behind. Roque Quintin struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Ezequiel Bela didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quilmes FC. A collision led to Quilmes FC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Marcelino Jago hit a great ball. In the 44thth minute of the game Justo Jeraldo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quilmes FC's Eusebio Berdoi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Bengolea's goalkeeper Ezequiel Bela had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roque Quintin. In the 47th minute, Quilmes FC's Marcelino Jago ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ezequiel Bela. Ezequiel Bela yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After a rather tough play, Quilmes FC's Ricardo Behe got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Bengolea's Ezequiel Bela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelino Jago in the 55th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelino Jago in the 58th minute of play forced Bengolea's goalkeeper Ezequiel Bela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Justo Jeraldo struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Eusebio Berdoi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bengolea. Roque Quintin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ezequiel Bela read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Ezequiel Bela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelino Jago in the 65th minute of play. Eusebio Francis hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Roque Quintin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Ezequiel Bela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcelino Jago's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ezequiel Bela read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. In the 83rd minute Roque Quintin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ezequiel Bela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bengolea's Ezequiel Bela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roque Quintin in the 84th minute of play. After recieving a nice pass, Quilmes FC's Angelino Lopes tried to score from far away in the 89th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Roque Quintin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ezequiel Bela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelino Jago, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Marcelino Jago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ezequiel Bela having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Quilmes FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bengolea had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
