An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Amato in the 22nd minute of play forced Genoa FC's goalkeeper Orlando Ondino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jawad Ashkanani came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Genoa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jawad Ashkanani couldn't finish the play. Orlando Ondino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dalmacio Hotz's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Omar Christobal succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 39th playminute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Humberto Amato to strike the kick off in the second half. When Omar Christobal came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Genoa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Omar Christobal couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Brugo FC's zone, Leopoldo Paskal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Everardo Millan came out of the goal and Leopoldo Paskal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ivan Jeraldo's late challenge caught a Genoa FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ivan Jeraldo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 60th minute, one of Brugo FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Brugo FC. The referee gave Genoa FC a penalty, 63 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Juan Raymundo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Brugo FC's Everardo Millan. 5-0. Jawad Ashkanani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Genoa FC's Orlando Ondino got control of the ball when Dalmacio Hotz tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Leopoldo Paskal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Leopoldo Paskal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Everardo Millan having to interfere. If Jawad Ashkanani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Everardo Millan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Paskal in the 83rd minute of play. Jawad Ashkanani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Everardo Millan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Omar Christobal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 89 minutes into the match, Brugo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jawad Ashkanani came free, but Everardo Millan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
