The referee felt a red card was in order, 28 minutes into the game, when Aristides Dorio put in a rough tackle. 27 minutes into the game, one of poeta fc:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Hector Santikurtz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Reynaldo Hulberto made a huge save. Hector Santikurtzs short, quick shot in the 39thth minute got Reynaldo Hulberto to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some careless play in the Ballesteros defense, Bernardo Ortle kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reynaldo Hulberto. The Ballesteros fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reynaldo Hulberto should have stopped the shot. In the 45th minute, Eustaquio Gamus left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ballesteros fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.
