Jesus Abeitia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciro Procopio, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciro Procopio couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Ciro Procopio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salsacate's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciro Procopio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jesus Abeitia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 23rd minute, Haroldo Naelio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jesus Abeitia was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Zacarias Abilio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd match minute, Salsacate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adriana Veremundo to maneuver through the defense. Zacarias Abilio struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Fidel Donzel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arroyito FC. Haroldo Naelio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesus Abeitia having to interfere. Fidel Donzel was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Zacarias Abilio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zacarias Abilio really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zacarias Abilio was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Arroyito FC's goalkeeper Jesus Abeitia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ciro Procopio. Fidel Donzel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zacarias Abilio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Salsacate booed when Arroyito FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rosendo Marquez didn't get a good kick on the ball.
